Chaing Mai
We made it up to Chaing Mai fine, it is one of the most amazing cities. So full of life and excitement. The people here as so wonderful as well. We were only here for a few days and then went up to Chaing Dao. There was a beautiful monestary in the mountains. We went up one morning to see the sunrise, sadly there were too many clounds to see much. But the view was still amazing. While up there we also went to an aids/hiv childrens orphanage, they were all so cute! and we got to play with them for hours. Me and a few others hiked up into the hills to a bat cave. To get there we had to go up a steep hill, up a few old wooden ladders. But it was worth it. There were no tour guids, it was just us and we could explore as much as we wanted to. We saw some spiders that were bigger than our hands. In the back of the cave there was a shrine with many buddha statues. There were also many bats flying around, which was fun. Then we came back to Chaing Mai, it feels so nice being here, the city is so fun. Now we are about to head up to a Karen village for a little over a week and help bring them elecricity. It should be fun, and then soon after that we will be heading to India.

Bangkok
Hi, I made it to Thailand fine. We stayed at the Shanti Lodge, one of the most beautiful places ever. In true Molly fashion, I slipped and fell down the stairs the first day. The food there was super tasty and then we headed out to the Grand Palace. Hopefully I will put pics up later, I forgot my camera at the hotel when I went to the internet cafe. It is so cool here, the walls are covered in Disney posters, I feel right at home. Later that day I got my first Thai Massage. It was the most relaxing thing ever. I wish I could have a personal Thai Masseuse for finals week, it would be heavenly. After that a few of us went to the street market, where I learned that a ping pong show is not a table tennis match, thankfully I didn't learn this the hard way. Also there I learned about lady boys and even saw a shirt that said " sorry guys, I'm a lady boy".
The next day we caught the train north to Bong Phatt Tat and the Erawan National Park. The colors were so beautiful there. We went to some caves and waterfalls. In the caves, I saw lots of bats, a few bugs and a snake. At the waterfalls there were 7 levels. At one I got to stand under and it was like the most wonderful shower. At another they were like waterslides. The top waterfall was the most beautiful and where there were the least amount of people. Me and a few others climbed up them. The water was very rich with calcium and so it built up on the rocks and made it easy to climb.
Today we caugt a bus back down to Bangkok and then we are catching the night train up to Chiang Mai and arrive at about 1pm tomorrow.
